PETER SISSECK persönlich schreibt zu 2019 FLOR DE PINGUS: "In the lineup of this year’s wines, Flor de Pingus really stood out. What I would call perfect ripeness is shown in the nose, no green hints just delicious ripe fruit. When we get this kind of ripeness it is often associated with a certain heaviness. Not in this case. When one taste the wine it is utterly seamless. No hard etches. Very beautiful long flow in the wine. The 30% new oak is barely noticeable (something i also have seen in Chateau Rocheyron) and just sucked up in the wine. The slight sweetness of the oak just smooth over the wine in a very positive sense."

97 Punkte von JAMES SUCKLING: "Blackberries, black cherries and hot crushed stones with cement and black licorice. Subtle yet complex aromas. Medium to full body and an exquisite texture, with intense tannins and a long, flavorful finish. The verve and mouth-feel is luxurious and captivating. This is very structured."

94-96 Punkte in Robert Parker's THE WINEADVOCATE: "The 2019 Flor de Pingus is marginally riper than the PSI and Pingus from the same vintage but still shows the freshness and finesse the cask sample showed a little over one year ago. The wine has more concentration than the 2018, and it has absorbed the oak quite well. They use maybe 20% new barrels for the élevage here. It has abundant, fine-grained tannins. It's a powerful vintage of flor, reflecting the solar vintage, but still keeping the poise, harvesting early and fermenting at low temperature…."

Sissecks FLOR DE PINGUS ist schlichtweg nicht von dieser Welt, und dies zum wiederholten Male. Denn der 2019er Jahrgang hat mit 94-96 Parker Punkten eine noch höhere Bewertung erhalten als der 2014er, 2015er und 2016er!
